Workshop 1: Discovering the basics of hemp growing

• This collaborative workshop, open to anyone who wants to learn more about hemp cultivation, will cover the fundamentals of the growing process, from variety selection through to harvest. It’s a great introduction to the following day’s site visits and a chance to connect with other curious minds around what lies at the heart of the hemp ecosystem: its agricultural production.
  

Workshop 2: Sharing experiences among hemp growers

• A time for exchange and sharing among hemp farming practitioners. Are you a hemp producer? Come and share ideas with hemp growers from around the world, exchanging your key success factors for this crop: organisation, planting, harvesting, machinery, and more! Are you a hemp producer? Workshop 3 : Demonstration of the hemp oil extraction process

• Discover one way of adding value to the plant through its oil. How do you go from the raw plant to food or cosmetic compounds? Which parts of the plant yield which quality of oil? Get a behind-the-scenes look at the process and watch a live demonstration of hemp oil extraction.

La Chanvrière

Visit the production unit of La Chanvrière and discover the industrial process of the initial transformation of hemp. La Chanvrière is the leading agricultural cooperative in the production and processing of hemp in Europe. It includes 750 farmers who cultivate over 13,000 hectares of hemp within a radius of 120 km around Troyes.

Exemplary Hemp Buildings

Accompanied by our expert members, come and discover exemplary buildings constructed or renovated with hempcrete. Discover the technical properties (insulation, limited carbon impact, thermal and acoustic insulation, fire resistance…) of this exceptional building material.

Hemp Farm du Buzio

Come and discover the plant cultivation site and learn about the hemp farmer’s profession. Hemp producers are often organized in CUMA: an Agricultural Equipment Cooperative, where farmers pool resources (machines, labor, warehouses…) necessary for their activity. It offers numerous advantages for its members, for the territories, and for innovation.

FRD-CODEM

Discover the FRD-Lab technology hall dedicated to the development of solutions based on plant fibers (flax, hemp, miscanthus, straw…). FRD-CODEM is a Technological Resource Center recognized for their expertise in creating and enhancing the value of plant-based fibers, integrating them into various industrial applications, such as automotive, construction, and textile industries.
